Jr. System Architect (IoT)

Consultant, Part-Time or Full-Time

Job Description

TAPPTEK provides a unique guest engagement and analytics platform for bars and restaurants. We are looking for a system architect with familiarity of mobile client-side applications to join our product team. You will be working directly with TAPPTEK’s product lead and reporting to TAPPTEK’s Managing Director. TAPPTEK is an agile work environment, offering a very competitive compensation plan and benefits package commensurate with employment status (part-time, full-time, consultancy). 

Responsibilities

  • Creating specifications and process documentation
  • Installing and configuring programs
  • Familiarity with flashing firmware
  • Critical thinking on product improvements; reviewing new technologies
  • Configuring/installing/debugging applications within an Android operating system
  • Testing - QA/QC - lab and field (TAPPTEK has several Philadelphia-area establishments where technology is deployed)
  • Ability to review datasets, correlate bugs, and efficacy of bug fixes
  • Authoring business or product review documents (BRDs or PRDs)
  • Understanding our technology, our sensor(s), and hardware elements
  • Maintaining a professional and courteous environment with customers.
  • Ability to travel throughout the U.S. 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, computer science or related field
  • 3+ years experience working with software developers 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to suggest new approaches for solving design problems (e.g., transmitting data and media) and to connect disparate technologies (e.g., BLE with IoT sensors) 
  • Familiarity with client-server architecture, e.g., web services, APIs
  • Familiarity with an Android operating system (Android programmer is desired)
  • Working knowledge of networking and future media
  • Team player, good communicator

Operations Manager

Job Description

TAPPTEK, a guest engagement and analytics company for bars and restaurants, is looking for an Operations Manager to join our team. This is a new position reporting to the Director of Operations that will support TAPPTEK’s operational personnel and ensure the company achieves its national rollout objectives. Responsibilities

  • Support and manage the installation of the company’s services in locations throughout the U.S., scheduling installations and installers.
  • Support distribution, logistics, warehousing, part replacement, quality control, technical repair, and technical support.
  • Training and management of service personnel throughout U.S.
  • Implement programs to support a customer-oriented service department.
  • Follow, manage, and monitor programs, procedures, and practices to measure operational efficiency.
  • Make recommendations to senior management on programs to improve operations.
  • Provide important information regarding budget and revenue projections.
  • Oversee the ongoing support and maintenance of company’s hardware and services.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous environment with customers.
  • Evaluate operations to ensure service standards are met.
  • Support all customer service efforts as necessary.
  • Perform all other tasks inherent to manage the operational activities.
  • Work with Supply Chain management team to ensure inventory levels are managed appropriately and adequate to support customer requirements as set by business.

Customer Success Manager

Job Description

TAPPTEK, a guest engagement and analytics company for bars and restaurants, is looking for a dynamic, experienced, and organized Customer Success Manager reporting to the Director of Operations. The Customer Success Manager is responsible for supporting our nationwide network of bars and restaurants with our in-venue guest engagement solutions. We are offering a competitive compensation plan as well as a comprehensive benefits package. 

Responsibilities

  • Work in conjunction with a third-party call center, respond promptly to customer service needs, and gather feedback to improve service; collaborate and make recommendations to the organization to improve support of our customers.
  • Track and review key reports regarding existing client information. Manage internal troubleshooting escalation process.
  • Manage key restaurant clients and on-board their staff through activation processes and frequently engage them to communicate best practices and stimulate week-over-week guest participation.
  • Execute procedures and deliverables to setup, maintain, and optimize customers’ custom-configured solutions; perform data entry tasks inherent to process.
  • Enter accurate orders and track shipments of products and support materials.
  • Estimate date of delivery to customers based upon knowledge of the production and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate online training sessions and communicate status to stakeholders.
  • Interface with appropriate company departments when problems arise and represent the voice of the customer.
  • Recommends additional products or services to meet customer objectives and optimize performance.
  • Prepare reports and other related duties as needed.
